University Collections in Germany

The information system University Collections in Germany documents collections and scientific objects at German universities. Our goal is to provide comprehensive information on the history and current state of German university collections.

Central registry of digitized prints

Zvdd is the central access point to printed works from the 15th century up to today, digitized in Germany. It enables you to search not only for titles and authors, but any other part of the bibliographic description, like printers, printing places and publication years, as well as titles of articles, headlines of chapters and table of contents.

The Global Registry of Biorepositories (GRBio)

GRBio is the comprehensive clearinghouse of information about biological collections in natural history museums, herbaria, and other biorepositories. This online-registry is a source for information about collections as well as validated, standardized data such as addresses, contacts, and values for the Darwin Core identifiers for institutions (institutionCode) and collections (collectionCode).

ZENODO offers a simple and innovative service that enables researchers, scientists, EU projects and institutions to share and showcase multidisciplinary research results (data and publications) that are not part of the existing institutional or subject-based repositories of the research communities.

DOI Service at the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB)

DOI Service at TIB is for its collection areas Germany's first port of call for registering research data and other non-textual material, "grey" literature, and articles in open access journals published by academic institutions. DOI Service is available to scientific institutions (such as research institutes, libraries, university faculties, and so on) that have their own infrastructure for storing objects.
