Aquatic Core Facility (AquaCore) Save as PDFShow print view

The newly established Aquatic Core Facility (AquaCore) provides researchers access to state-of-the-art animal housing, care and scientific expertise on zebrafish (Danio rerio) and frog (Xenopus laevis, X. tropicalis) species. Located at the Institute for Disease Modeling and Targeted Medicine (IMITATE), it ensures optimal animal welfare, care and breeding conditions. Additionally, AquaCore gives users access to an outstanding experimental infrastructure, including the supply of oocytes, microinjection stations, and microscopy equipment. AquaCore ' s scientific staff supports users in the planning and execution of experiments, and promotes the 3R principles of responsible animal research: Replacement, Reduction, Refinement.
