Molecule Archive (Molekülarchiv)

As a DFG core facility, the Molecule Archive offers services that support the archiving of chemical substances and the provision
of materials for further scientific use. These services include the registration of substances in a central database, the
testing of substances for purity and, if required, identity. The archived substances are prepared and sent out for scientific
projects on request. The aim of the provision is to achieve scientific cooperation between the partners on the side of the
substance suppliers and the substance users. The re-use cases include the two main areas of biological investigation and materials
science application. The substances of the Molecule Archive will be prepared in 2020 with a special focus on a contribution
to the fight against Covid-19. New partners have been recruited for in vivo and in vitro testing and in silico screening and
will enable collaborations for synthetic researchers focusing on Covid-19.
